2007 Dolcetto Wine | El Dorado County
The 2007 Dolcetto from the Musso family vineyard is in it 10th year since planting and it seems with each successive vintage the wine leans a little further to some of the characteristics of its Italian cousins. While still emphasizing intense berry fruit on the nose with a hint of licorice and cranberry on the tongue the characteristic Dolcetto tannins become just a little more pronounced. The fruit for this wine was picked in the third week in September and aged in 40% new Hungarian hogshead with the remainder in 2 and three year old French oak barrels. The wine drinks beautifully now and will age wonderfully for 5 to 7 years. 275 cases Produced:
