2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Wine | Napa Valley
The 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is considered to be one of the best of the decade. Mother nature naturally thinned the crop with spring frost in April and greatly reduced the yield. While the previous two vintages were a struggle to ripen the late maturing cabernet grape, the 2007 came in early and ripened easily. The Houle Family vineyard offers up wonderful mature berry and red fruit flavors, while the Rutherford Cabernet brings tremendous structure, deep dark colors, and the famed Rutherford dust characteristics. The wine was aged in 60% new French oak for two years and then a year in bottle. As it seems with all great vintages, this wine will not only age quite gracefully but is drinking wonderfully now. 180 cases produced.
